Social and Soft Skills Coaching

  • Seaglass utilizes The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS ®) to teach social skills. PEERS ® is an evidence-based social skills program for young adults with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, suspected autism spectrum disorder and other socio-emotional challenges. Topics covered and practiced are on developing and maintaining friendships, conversational skills, entering and exiting conversations, electronic communication, handling peer pressure, handling arguments, organizing a get together, and basic dating steps.

  • We utilize certified, bilingual (Spanish-English) Autism and Social Skills Specialists to teach group classes for you and/ or your loved ones.

    This course includes pre-requisites. You must…

    -Be a young adult between the ages of 18-35.

    -Have a high school diploma, be currently in college, a career professional, or currently seeking an appropriate career track.

    -Have friendship/dating/work challenges.

    -Be interested in attending the program(s).

    -Agree to actively participate in the program(s) you have chosen.

    -Attend all sessions (with no more than two missed sessions for programs that meet over the course of several weeks).

    -Be able to actively work with someone in your family/ a close friend who will serve as your social coach.

  • Upon completing this program, you will have tools and strategies to utilize while navigating social situations across environments.
